Włodzymierz Vacek

Vacek was a Polish engraver. He was the author of many artistically successful and high-level works. In the period 1932 – 1938 he engraved postage stamps and banknotes for the the state printing company PWPW in Warsaw, as an employee of this company. After the outbreak of World War II, he went to the British Isles, where he worked at the Thomas De La Rue & Co graphic works in London, among others on engraving Polish banknotes for the government in exile.
He engraved also stamps for Greece (1938), Ireland (1952) and Argentina (1959).
